Yesterday I found a boat for sale for a really good price. It is an older boat and is about 17 ft. long. The man selling is doesn't have the title and the boat was given to him. Is it possible to get a new title for the boat and if so how much will the process cost? I live in Florida. Thanks.|||If the man doesn't have a title, then he has no right to sell the boat. It's stolen, or lost during IKE, or there's a loan on it.
Don't waste your time.
It's possible to get a title bond, and go through the hassle of getting a title for the boat, but if the boat is stolen or salvage, or there's a lender on it, all that's going to happen is that after you pay out hundreds to get the title and title bond, the rightful owner will get posession of the boat.
It's not yours, if he can't hand a title over to you.
